Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Terminus Intelligence for using Terminus: this website, the desktop, and the apps, agents, skills and models you use on it. By creating an account or using Terminus, you agree to them.

How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy, the second half of this page.

Your account

You need to be at least 13 years old to use Terminus. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission.

You are responsible for your account and for what happens under it. Keep your sign-in secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

Terminus is in beta and open by invitation. Features will change, and some may come and go while we build.

Your content

Everything you create or bring to Terminus — files, conversations, agents, apps and skills — belongs to you.

You give us permission to store and process it to run Terminus for you — saving your files, running your agents, and sending your requests to the models and services you choose to use — as the Privacy Policy describes.

When you publish an app, agent or skill to the Store, you let other people find, install and run it, and let us show its name, description and icon in the catalog. You can unpublish it at any time.

AI output

AI models make mistakes. Check anything important before you rely on it — output can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and it is not professional advice.

You are responsible for how you use what Terminus and the models on it produce.

Using Terminus fairly

Don't use Terminus — or build apps, agents or skills on it — to break the law, harm or deceive people, infringe anyone's rights, send spam, or spread malware.

Don't try to break into accounts or systems, get around limits or security, overload the service, or copy it by scraping.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Credits and payments

Some features use credits. Prices are shown before you pay, and credits are spent as you use paid features.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Other people's services

Models, connectors, and apps, agents and skills published by other people are provided by them, and their own terms may apply. We do our best to keep the Store trustworthy, but we are not responsible for what third parties build or run.

Ending your account

You can stop using Terminus and ask us to delete your account at any time. Deleting your data explains what that removes today, and what it keeps.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or when the law requires it. If we do, we will tell you why where we can.

No guarantees

Terminus is provided as it is, while in beta. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, error-free, or right for your purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Terminus grows. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the product or by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Terminus after that means you accept the new terms.

Privacy Policy

  • Your data belongs to you.
  • We don't sell it or train AI on it unless it has first been made anonymous, with all personal information deleted.

Below is exactly what that means today: what Terminus stores, why, who else handles it, and what deleting removes and what it keeps.

What we store

Your account. Your email address, username, display name, bio and profile picture, and a securely hashed password if you set one. If you sign in with Google, we ask Google only for your account ID, name, email address and profile picture.

What you create. Your files, including earlier versions so you can go back; your chats and agent conversations, including images; what your agents remember; and the apps, agents and skills you build.

How you use Terminus. The credits you spend, your payments, which features you use and when, and what you search for in the Store.

Security records. Your signed-in sessions and a record of sign-ins. Like any website, our servers also log requests, including IP addresses.

The waitlist. If you join it, your email address.

Why we store it

To run Terminus for you: to keep you signed in, save your work, run your agents, charge for what you use, keep accounts secure, and fix what breaks.

To understand how Terminus is used, so we can make it better. Store searches also help us improve search results; we delete them after 90 days.

Who else handles it

AI models. When you use a model, what you send it — your messages, the files and tool results in the conversation, and images — goes to the company that runs that model, including OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek and Moonshot AI, either directly or through Microsoft Azure or Amazon Bedrock. If you connect your own API key, it goes to that account instead. Your Store searches may also be sent to OpenAI or Microsoft Azure to match them with results. These companies handle what they receive under their own terms.

Hosting. Your data is stored with Amazon Web Services in the United States, and Cloudflare delivers this website.

Payments. Stripe runs checkout on its own page. We never see your full card number; we keep Stripe's record of each payment, which includes the billing details you give Stripe.

Web search and maps. When an agent searches the web or an app looks up a place, the search goes to Brave Search or Mapbox.

Email. Sign-in codes and account emails are sent through our email provider.

The Store. Anything you publish — an app, agent or skill, with its name, description and contents — is public, and we index it so people can find it.

Beyond these, we share your data only when the law requires us to.

Training AI

Terminus does not train AI models on your data.

If that ever changes, we will use only data that has first been made anonymous, with all personal information deleted.

Who at Terminus can see it

Terminus administrators can view an account's files and conversations when they need to: to give support, investigate abuse, or fix a problem. Every such view is recorded in an audit log.

Deleting your data

You can delete your chats and files at any time. Deleted files go to the Trash, and emptying the Trash deletes them. Our storage keeps deleted files recoverable for up to 90 days, and database backups are kept for 14 days.

To delete your account, write to support@terminus.build. Deleting an account signs you out everywhere, removes your password, connected accounts and API keys, and replaces your email address with an anonymous one.

Deleting an account does not, today, remove your files, conversations, agent memories, or usage and payment history, and your username, display name and profile picture stay so that anything you published keeps its address. If you want your files and conversations gone as well, delete them before you ask us to delete your account.

Removing Terminus from your Google account stops you signing in with Google. It doesn't delete your Terminus account.

Cookies and storage

We use cookies only to keep you signed in: to Terminus for 7 days, for 10 minutes while you sign in, and for 30 days to the apps and agents you open. We don't use advertising cookies.

Your browser also remembers your layout, wallpaper and window positions. If you try the desktop without an account, your files are kept in your browser.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the legal right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, write to support@terminus.build.

Children

Terminus is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When what we store, or who handles it, changes, we will update this policy and the date at the top of this page, and tell you before a material change takes effect.
